Circuit of The Americas (COTA) announced today the entertainment and activities at the 2016 MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas, April 8 through April 10, including the MotoGP Fan Zone, return of Ducati Island, the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, and a post-race performance by singer-songwriter Franky Perez on the Ducati Island Main Stage. Unlike any other motorcycle racing series, MotoGP features custom-built, exotic machines that are reinvigorating motorcycle racing in North America with wall-to-wall action and unbelievable access to the riders and their machines.

Tickets are still available for the fierce and suspenseful two-wheeled racing weekend with general admission starting at $89 for three-day passes. Main Grandstand tickets start at $139 and Turn 15 Grandstand start at $149. Returning for the third year, onsite motorcycle parking is free for riders all three days courtesy of GEICO. The MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas will offer far more than just the exhilarating races as the event has evolved into three days filled with interactive activities, entertainment, and action for all ages. Returning is the popular MotoGP Fan Zone, which will feature expanded interactive displays and demo rides from the industry’s top manufacturers including Honda, Yamaha, Victory, Kawasaki, KTM and Harley-Davidson. The MotoGP Fan Zone will also include dozens of vendors selling the latest in motorcycle apparel and accessories, a Yamaha Kids’ Riding Area kids riding area and a special food court featuring local, delicious food trucks.

Returning to MotoGP as one of last year’s most crowd-pleasing attractions throughout the weekend, Ducati Island has grown into the largest Ducati fan activation at any MotoGP race around the world. From Ducati fashion models and rider appearances to the Ducati owners lounge, technical seminars, product demonstrations and more, Ducati and non-Ducati fans alike have come to know Ducati Island as the place to be during race weekend.

Following the races on Sunday, American singer songwriter Franky Perez will perform on the Ducati Island Main Stage. Perez, who has been compared by peers and critics to Robert Plant and Otis Redding, has collaborated with many artists including Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Slash of Guns N’ Roses, and more. Additionally, Perez has had multiple tracks featured on the FX television series “Sons of Anarchy” and also is a member of the Sons of Anarchy band, The Forest Rangers.

For off-the-track action, Revival Cycles will bring back their popular Handbuilt Motorcycle Show to Fair Market in downtown Austin, April 8-10, in conjunction with the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas. The tremendous swell of support shown by the motorcycling community, both locally and abroad, has turned this event into a destination for riders, enthusiasts, and fans from all over the world. Hailed by the American Motor Drome Wall of Death Riders as the best in the country, their exhibition of custom builds and original artwork draws a diverse crowd ranging from the merely curious to die-hard fans. Arranged in a gallery-like setting alongside original artwork, the free show celebrates the process of design and the satisfaction of creation inherent in the craft.
